My research explores how people use language, images, emotions, and technology to learn, perceive, and organize reality. In doing so, I combine philosophical and cultural studies perspectives with practical work on digital learning and knowledge systems.
My research interests:
- Materiality, Art, and Perception: Questions of aesthetic experience, materiality, and performative criticism in art and culture.
- Emotion, Distinction, and Everyday Life: Research on (supposedly) negative emotions such as disgust and shame and their influence on everyday practices such as consumer behavior and aesthetic perception.
- Media, Technology, and Learning: Didactic and media-philosophical questions regarding the strategic use of visualizations and learning technologies (AI and XR) in (digital) education.
